Multiple sources told the NewsChannel 5 I-Team that nurses and staff were told to bathe, shave hair, comb hair and soak the feet of all the patients in preparation for the surprise inspection at the John Cochran V.A. Medical Center on Thursday morning.

The director of St. Louis' Veterans Affairs medical center says surgeries could resume next week at the center. The site stopped performing surgeries because of concerns over contamination on some operating-room equipment.
